Phuket - Thailand is considered to be one of the best scuba diving destination in the world with the awesome diving spots like Shark Point, Phi Phi islands, Anemone Reef, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Coral Island, Raya, Surin Islands, Richelieu Rock, Similans, Hin Daeng and Hin Muang. Andaman sea offers clear blue water, beautiful untouched coral reefs, Wrecks, wall dives, Whale Sharks, manta rays, underwater rock formations, Boulders, cliffs, under water caves, larger seafans and a huge variety of marine life. Similan, in particular, has been rated as the world top 10 dive destination.





Business Hours - 9am to 5pm on the weekdays, and 9am to 12 noon on Saturdays, except Public Holidays when hours may vary. Outlets and local stores operate daily from 9 am to 10pm
Banking hours - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm. Some branches in shopping centres, are open as late as 7-8pm and on everyday. Most currency exchange kiosks are usually open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. 24 hours ATMs are available around Phuket Island, you can use all international banking cards. Money can also be exchanged at hotels boots, although rates are more expensive than the bank.
Currency is the Thai Baht, 1 Baht = 100 Satangs.
Electricity - 220 Volts. Several kind of plugs and sockets are acceptable, common used is two pin flat (US type) or round (European type). Adapters can be purchased at local stores.

Phuket Thai martial art - Thai boxing (Muay Thai) is one of the most famous, exciting and amazing martial art in the world. Unarguably considered as the world's most dangerous martial art, Muay Thai's principle is the speed, good behaviour, bravery, grace and discipline required. It was originally created by ancient battlefield skills of the Thais for self-defence during the 1350-1767. The traditional Thai boxing (Muay Thai) was extremely violent and brutal which could result in death or physical injury to the enemies. The rules of Thai boxing, however, was changed in 1930 for sport and safty interest but you still can find a pre-1930s version of Thai boxing in some areas of the country. Contestants must wear boxing gloves and trunks their feet taped for the safety purposes.
